To support his point, he notes Kitchen 4mula II, Merillat’s research aimed at understanding the mindset of consumers when they make buying and remodeling decisions; insights noted in the column include:
- 84 percent of consumers surveyed indicated they want more and better storage in their kitchen.
- More than 50 percent of consumers who either built or remodeled their kitchen said not asking for additional storage was their biggest mistake.
